Office 365 is a cloud-based subscription product that gives you the ability to install the office applications on up to 5 devices per account. The installed applications DO receive automatic updates from Microsoft as they are available including version releases. Office is a one-time purchase that is locally installed on a single device only. These applications DO NOT receive automatic updates and a new version release requires a paid upgrade.
